{"id":3246,"date":"2026-10-23T13:53:29","date_gmt":"2026-10-23T13:53:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.rubiconpeople.co.uk\/?job_listing=sales-engineer"},"modified":"2026-10-23T13:53:29","modified_gmt":"2026-10-23T13:53:29","slug":"sales-engineer","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.rubiconpeople.co.uk\/?job_listing=sales-engineer","title":{"rendered":"Sales Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sales Engineer &#8211; Coventry &#8211; up to &pound;40,000 per annum + bonus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">An up to &pound;40,000 role where your hydraulics knowledge counts for more than a hard sell.<br \/> You&rsquo;ll look after established customer accounts, getting to know their systems and becoming the person they trust for the right answer.<br \/> It&rsquo;s stable and technical, and you&rsquo;ll start with a company car from day one.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will benefit from:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>A company car from day one<\/li>\n<li>An annual performance bonus of up to 5%<\/li>\n<li>25 days holiday plus bank holidays<\/li>\n<li>An early finish on Fridays<\/li>\n<li>A close-knit, open plan site of around 15 people<\/li>\n<li>Working with two experienced engineers who already know the accounts inside out<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>As a Technical Sales Engineer, your responsibilities will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Managing and growing an established portfolio of customer accounts from a Coventry base, travelling across the UK with most customers close to home<\/li>\n<li>Visiting customers regularly to understand their hydraulic circuits and give first-line application support<\/li>\n<li>Putting together preliminary solutions and quotations within agreed pricing policies<\/li>\n<li>Working with the technical, customer services, quality and operations teams to deliver customer projects<\/li>\n<li>Keeping an accurate pipeline and sales forecast, and spotting new business opportunities as they come up<\/li>\n<li>Supporting product training, troubleshooting and warranty returns when needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>As a Technical Sales Engineer, your experience will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>A <strong>mechanical, hydraulic or related engineering qualification<\/strong>, or equivalent hands-on experience<\/li>\n<li>A background in the <strong>hydraulics<\/strong> industry, so you can hit the ground running<\/li>\n<li>Customer-facing experience in <strong>technical sales<\/strong>, <strong>engineering<\/strong> or <strong>service<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Confidence reading hydraulic schematics (desirable)<\/li>\n<li>Good working knowledge of <strong>Microsoft Office<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A <strong>full UK driving licence<\/strong> and willingness to travel across the UK, with occasional overseas trips<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">If you&rsquo;re a <strong>Technical Sales Engineer<\/strong> who would rather build long-term customer relationships than chase cold leads, this role offers the stability and technical depth to really make it your own.
