{"id":2455,"date":"2026-09-07T11:00:04","date_gmt":"2026-09-07T11:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.rubiconpeople.co.uk\/?job_listing=buyer"},"modified":"2026-09-07T11:00:04","modified_gmt":"2026-09-07T11:00:04","slug":"buyer","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.rubiconpeople.co.uk\/?job_listing=buyer","title":{"rendered":"Buyer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Buyer &#8211; Poole &#8211; Up to &pound;42,000<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">You&#8217;ll take ownership of purchasing decisions that keep production running to schedule as a <strong>Buyer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This is a role for someone who takes pride in getting the detail right, every time.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Every order, every supplier query, every shortage relies on you to bring order and structure.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>As a Buyer, you will benefit from:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Holiday entitlement of 172.5 hours (4.6 weeks), with hours reserved each year for the Christmas shutdown<\/li>\n<li>Enhanced company sick pay on a staggered, incremental basis<\/li>\n<li>On-site car parking<\/li>\n<li>Extra holiday awarded at your 2 year and 5 year work anniversaries<\/li>\n<li>Company-funded Christmas and summer parties<\/li>\n<li>Ad hoc company activities, such as Pancake Day, with food provided on site<\/li>\n<li>An early finish every Friday at 1pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>As a Buyer, your responsibilities will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Place and manage purchase orders in line with MRP signals, production schedules and customer demand<\/li>\n<li>Chase suppliers proactively to secure on time delivery and resolve order queries<\/li>\n<li>Monitor inventory levels and work with Planning, Stores and Production to resolve material shortages<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate purchasing and material data within the ERP\/MRP system<\/li>\n<li>Support BOM accuracy by flagging component availability or lifecycle concerns<\/li>\n<li>Generate purchasing and supplier performance reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>As a Buyer, your experience will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Previous experience in a <strong>Buyer<\/strong> or purchasing role<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in an <strong>electronics manufacturing<\/strong> or engineering environment<\/li>\n<li>Confidence using <strong>ERP\/MRP<\/strong> systems<\/li>\n<li>Strong working knowledge of <strong>Microsoft Excel<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Experience in a <strong>sub-contract<\/strong> or <strong>EMS<\/strong> environment, or knowledge of BOM structures, would be advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Working towards or holding a <strong>CIPS<\/strong> qualification would be desirable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">If you enjoy bringing order and accuracy to a fast moving production environment, this <strong>Buyer<\/strong> role offers the structure and ownership you&#8217;re looking for.
