As an Assembler, your responsibilities will include:
- Assembling mechanical units and components accurately using hand and power tools
- Working to technical drawings, build instructions and specifications
- Carrying out inspection and quality checks on completed assemblies
- Handling components and parts with care throughout the build process
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within a defence-related engineering environment
As an Assembler, your experience will include:
- Proven mechanical assembly experience in a workshop, engineering or manufacturing setting
- A genuine mechanical aptitude, for example working on your own vehicles or building and rebuilding engines
- Confidence working from technical drawings and specifications
- Experience within a manufacturing or defence environment preferred
- A methodical approach, with strong attention to detail when building and checking your work
