Production Operative (CNC Trainee) | Salisbury | £12.71 per hour

Earn £12.71 per hour as a Production Operative (CNC Trainee), working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, while you learn a specialist skill that most people never get the chance to train in.
You’ll start with the same structured training as the rest of the production team, then move onto CNC routers, the machines that are hardest to recruit for.
No CNC experience is needed. What matters is that you’re reliable, comfortable on a computer and good at working out how things work.

As a Production Operative (CNC Trainee), you will benefit from:

• Monday to Friday days only, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with your weekends free
• Full training from day one, starting with the basics and building up step by step

As a Production Operative (CNC Trainee), your responsibilities will include:

• Operating factory machinery and equipment safely and accurately
• Using hand tools and packaging materials during the production process
• Completing production paperwork accurately for each works order
• Reading and understanding basic drawings and specifications
• Progressing onto CNC routers, learning how the computer-based controls and machine settings work
• Keeping your work area clean, organised and up to standard

As a Production Operative (CNC Trainee), your experience will include:

• Being confident using computers and willing to pick up new software as your training gets more technical
• A background in manufacturing, production or engineering (preferred)
• A good technical understanding, or a natural interest in how machines and processes work
• A reliable attendance record and the commitment to see long-term training through
• Confidence to ask questions, follow instructions and take on more responsibility as you develop
• Your own steel toe cap safety boots
